Drop-Stitch Cutting & Preparation
The Drop-Stitch material is cut to size and prepared for sidewall assembly.
Product
An inflatable drop-stitch air track for gymnastics and training applications, available with custom dimensions, thickness, colors, branding, valves and packaging.
Product information
A reference specification is not a fixed specification: it describes the model as it is currently planned, and the specification of a delivered order is agreed per project.
Construction
The air chamber is a drop-stitch body: a reinforced PVC top and bottom fabric held apart by drop-stitch yarns, with a reinforced PVC sidewall bonded around the outside to close the chamber.
The surface the mat is used on.
The yarns that connect the top and bottom fabric and hold the mat's thickness.
The underside of the mat.
The reinforced PVC strip bonded around the drop-stitch body.
Manufacturing
The drop-stitch body is bonded to its sidewall, then the finished mat is inflated and inspected. These are the steps this construction runs.
The Drop-Stitch material is cut to size and prepared for sidewall assembly.
Adhesive is applied to the reinforced PVC sidewall material and allowed to condition for approximately 4–5 minutes.
Hot air and pressure are applied to achieve a consistent bond between the sidewall and Drop-Stitch body, followed by edge sealing to complete the construction.
The finished mat is inflated and enters the 24-hour inspection process.
For the current 10 cm construction shown here, an 11.5 cm reinforced PVC sidewall strip is used.
Production option
For suitable constructions, the main sidewall can be bonded using hot-air processing instead of the adhesive route, so much less adhesive is required in the main body construction.
Adhesive may still be required for selected accessories.
Higher production efficiency
Reduced adhesive use in the main body construction
Quality control
Every finished inflatable gymnastics mat is inflated and held for 24 hours before it is approved for packing.

Re-Inspection After Repair
A unit that needs repair is repaired and then goes through the inflation inspection again before it is approved.
